Demonstration is held to protest the South End urban renewal plan.

(July) Sponsored by the Community Assembly for a United South End, it is the first of a series of demonstrations outside and sometimes inside the Boston Redevelopment Authority site office. They are held to call for an end to displacement of residents and the construction of more rental housing. Additional demonstrations take place on January 22, 1968, and an an occupation of the office on April 25, 1968.
